STUBHUB.COM
Stubhub.com is the leader in the secondary
ticket market and was recently acquired by
EBAY on January 2007.  Stubhub.com is not a
ticket broker, they are a site that allows
regular people like you and me to buy and sell
tickets.  Some of the sellers on the site are
not looking to profit from these sales, so a lot
of the time
Stubhub.com is probably one of the
best places to buy tickets in the secondary
market because prices will be reasonable.
Stubhub.com charges a 10% service fee and
charges $11.95 to $24.95 for delivery fees
depending on how quickly you want your
tickets shipped to you
.
RAZORGATOR.COM
Razorgator is probably the leader in the
secondary ticket broker world.  Being around
for over 30 years,
RazorGator has managed to
partner up with many of the big name sports
teams and some artist.  Basically,
Razorgator
has a great reputation because they have
learned how to do it right!
RazorGator
charges a 10% service fee and offers two
delivery methods:  Fed Ex Standard - $17.50
and Fed Ex Priority - $20.50.
FIND THE BEST CHOICE TO BUY YOUR TICKETS!
What this site is about:

Have you ever wanted to go to a concert
or a football game and discovered it was
sold out? If you have, you would of
noticed that if you still wanted to go to
that concert or game you would have had
to pay more than face-value for those
tickets.

Many people or companies take
advantage of this economic effect and
mark-up these tickets as much as they
can. In other words, they mark these
tickets up as much as people are willing
to pay for them (the market price.)

The purpose of this site is to inform
people about the various different
choices of
ticket brokers available.
Having this knowledge will make us
ticket consumers equipped with the
abilities to make the best choice while
paying the least amount for the event we
would like to attend.

So get familiar with the more popular
ticket brokers and get ready to see
Madonna, The Police or Springsteen in
concert....or perhaps see Frank Gore run
the ball for the 49ers in a NFL
game......or perhaps see Baron Davis
lead the Clippers this year in a NBA
game...... or even see A-Rod hit one out
for the Yankees in a MLB game.....all for
the cheapest prices you can find....have
fun shopping!!
FEATURED TICKET BROKERS
TICKETMASTER.COM
TicketMaster.com is a primary ticket broker.
Meaning,
Ticketmaster.com sells tickets at the
events
face value.
Ticketmaster has been around for over 30
years and leads the industry in ticket sales.  If
the event is not sold out, chances are you can
find your event here!  However, if the event is
sold out, you will have to look at secondary
ticket brokers listed below.
Ticketmaster is notoriously known for the hefty
fees that they charge.  These charges are a
convenience fee (for each ticket) that varies
per event, a order processing fee (flat fee), and
sometimes a facility fee (which is charged per
ticket by the venue and not
TicketMaster.)
Ticketmaster also charges for delivery,
however standard mail and will call fees are
included in the order processing fee.
TICKETSNOW.COM
Ticketsnow.com is one of the bigger Ticket
brokers in the secondary market.
Ticketsnow.com best quality is there
customer service.
Ticketsnow.com will be
competitive on price, but most likely will not
be the cheapest in comparison to the other
ticket brokers.
Ticketsnow.com charges a
15% service fee and offer two delivery
methods:  regular Fed Ex - $14.95 and 1 day
delivery - $24.95.
TICKETCITY.COM
TicketCity started back in 1990 and claims to
have became the first Ecommerce site in ticket
industry launching on August 8th, 1990.  Being
around for awhile,
Ticket City has gained respect
and is another big player in the secondary ticket
world.  Price for tickets on
Ticket City seem to be
a bit higher than the other big players, but they
make up for this by offering one of the lowest
service fees - only 5%.  So when comparing
ticket brokers keep the service fee in mind.
Ticket City offers three delivery methods:  Fed Ex
(Two-Day) - $11.00, Fed Ex (Standard Overnight) -
$15.00, and Fed Ex (Priority Overnight) - $18.00.
EBAY.COM
Again, EBAY now owns StubHub, but stills allows
people to buy and sell on
EBAY's site.  Since
StubHub charges a 10% service fee to buy their
tickets,
EBAY would be the better alternative to
purchase tickets since you only pay for the
selling price of the tickets and the shipping fee.
However
EBAY is limited in providing ticket
selection.   The best way to use
EBAY for buying
tickets, is to take a look and get the feel for the
market value of a ticket and its respective
seating section, then place bids that do not
exceed the market value.  You will be surprised
how many good deals you can get by doing this.
This strategy works best with frequent sporting
events like the NFL, MLB, and NBA.
PURCHASETIX.COM
Purchasetix.com is powered by TicketNetwork
Direct.  TicketNetwork Direct is one of the big
players in the ticket industry and provides
website templates and software for many ticket
brokers.  So if Purhasetix.com looks familiar,
chances are you have seen the same template
before.  TicketNetwork Direct usually takes 3% of
each sale for providing its website software and
template.
Purchasetix.com, compared to other
TicketNetwork Direct partners (and other ticket
brokers in general), seem to usually be the
lowest in price.  They charge the standard 15%
service fee.
